I remember labor
the pushing
and panting
the stress of waiting on cliffs
only to push and pant
all over again
like moving the proverbial stone
up the mountainside
up and up and up
until the sun
burst forth at last
and joy smiled back at me

Thank you, darling Patty!
Loved the ending 🙂 Happy Labor Day. 🙂
Thank you…of course the day is really about the rights of workers and the good work labor unions have done over the years. But it always takes me back to birthing my children…a true labor of Love. Blessings, sweet friend!
Yes, it is so cute – how you come up with these ideas and share them with us! There is a lightness in them and yet depth and love. I feel so blessed to read them and talk to you! Thank you for being here. Wish you a beautiful day! 🙂
A happy little poem 🙂
Thank you, so much, Pari!
