A Poem by Anne Chiappetta

Helium

Anchored
Ribbon chafing
Impatient

Will I be crushed
By the sky?

Breeze tugs
Pulses rub
Release me

Lighter than air
Captured in Mylar

Bound for Olympia
Pale blue elevation
Far below
