Hi, Joan–Since you have recently read a biography, I will highly recommend two which I read this summer: GRANT, by Ron Chernow, and JEFFERSON AND MONTICELLO:THE BIOGRAPHY OF A BUILDER, by Jack McLaughlin. In the fiction department, since September is so near, I will suggest A FALL OF MARIGOLDS, by Susan Meissner. Please let me know if you have already read these books. Recommending books to other readers seems to be a hobby of mine! (Smile!)
